Weimar University
Brief
The objective was to redesign Weimar University’s website into a modern, engaging platform that reflects its mission of educating students for lives of service through academic excellence, whole-person health, and Christian values. The website needed to showcase the university’s diverse academic programs, campus life, health emphasis, and admissions process while creating a seamless experience for prospective students, parents, donors, and alumni.
Challenge
The greatest challenge was organizing a large volume of content into a structure that was intuitive and easy to navigate. With multiple schools, departments, programs, and audiences, the website needed to simplify complex information without sacrificing depth. It also had to modernize the University’s digital presence while preserving its rich heritage and communicating the unique educational philosophy that sets Weimar apart.
Discovery
Our research focused on how prospective students and families evaluate higher education institutions online. We discovered that visitors want quick access to academic programs, admissions information, campus life, financial aid, and career outcomes, while also gaining a sense of the University’s culture and mission. This insight shaped a user-focused content strategy that prioritized clear navigation, compelling storytelling, authentic photography, and strong calls to action throughout the site.
design
The final design combines a clean, contemporary interface with bold imagery and a flexible content system that supports the University’s wide range of programs and initiatives. Clear information hierarchy, modern typography, and responsive layouts create an engaging experience across desktop and mobile devices. Every page was designed to strengthen the University’s brand, improve usability, and inspire prospective students to envision themselves as part of the Weimar community while making it easy to explore programs and apply.
